Born in Padua, in 1988 Cristina Schiavon moved to Milan, which she considers as her adopted city. Here she began a major, lasting experience as show room and project manager with Inda, leader in the bathroom furnishing sector.
From 2003 she decided to focus on the independent promotion of major Italian designer bathroom furnishings and wellness brands, becoming a reference figure for sector professionals and operators.
The experience gained in many years of cooperating with the company allowed her to develop a professional role focused increasingly on contact with architects and, consequently, with design and designer products.
Half professional, half business, Cristina Schiavon’s consulting services consist in visits by appointment to architects, supporting them personally in design projects – sometimes also directly with the clients – to obtain all the information required to identify the most suitable product. The aim is to provide complete support to professionals, both during design and for trade fairs and other events.
Cristina Schiavon’s work is based on her knowledge, trust and passion: knowledge of products and the market following years of experience in the field, trust in the strong relations she develops with design firms and businesses, and a passion for architecture, art and design.
In 2012 Cristina Schiavon expanded her communication channels by opening materialiedesign, a blog of architecture, design and trend topics, with a central focus on products. Today materialiedesign is an authentic web magazine with a mainly professional readership, including both design companies and architects.
